  • Initial inspection and estimate approval from owner and insurance company
  • Parts are then ordered
  • In the event any additional damage is found when dis-assembling the vehicle for repairs, a revised estimate is sent to you or your insurance company for approval
  • If there is structural damage, your vehicle is aligned to strict manufacturer specifications
  • Parts, including sheet metal and plastic, are repaired or replaced
  • When your vehicle is ready for paint it is sanded, primer and corrosion products are applied, then the vehicle is masked, painted and professionally blended
  • Your car will then be reassembled and the wheel alignment checked if necessary
  • In the detail stage, your vehicle will get a thorough interior and exterior cleaning and painted areas will be polished as needed to restore your vehicle to its pre-accident condition
  • We do a final inspection and test drive before your vehicle is ready for delivery

10 Things You Should Know Before Having Your Car Repaired

From your friends at Southeast Auto Body

  1. Your car is the second largest investment you’re likely to make. Preserve its value and your safety by having it repaired professionally.
  2. Never drive a car that could be unsafe because of damages.
  3. Some insurance companies may want you to visit their drive-in claims center before having your car repaired. You can do this, or you can leave your car at your collision repair shop and ask that the insurance company inspect the car there.
  4. You are not required by law to obtain more than one estimate or appraisal.
  5. You have the right to go to the repair shop of your choice. Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular shop.
  6. Differences in repair estimates are common. A lower estimate may not include all necessary work. If you’re not sure why one estimate is different from another you’ve received, ask the shop manager.
  7. Choose a shop that has uni-body repair equipment and certified (by I-CAR or ASE, for example) technicians.
  8. Ask if the shop will be using genuine manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts.
  9. Ask if the shop offers a repair warranty.
  10. Let the collision repair shop you choose help you negotiate your claim with your insurance company, this often leads to a better deal.
